Plan
·         construct a plan to create their chosen product/solution that has a series of logical steps, and that makes effective use of resources and time.

12/12/2011: I not work on it.
7/12/2011: I did not work on it.
5/12/2011: I had mine evaluated.
2/12/2011: i worked on it i tried to change the text to make it clear what to do.
30/11/2011: I tried to add a couple more interactions.
Step One

Task:                                                                                                    Date due:

Process:

Step Two

Task: Test the game myself                                                                                                    Date due:

Process: Try the game see what i can improve

Step Three

Task: Work on the project                                                                                                   Date due:

Process: Continue to work on what i can on the project

Step Four

Task: Get feedback from teacher                                                                                                    Date due:

Process: Ask Mr Holmes to give me advice about what i should change to make better.

Step Five

Task: Finish as much as i can for the game                                                                                                   Date due:

Process: Finish anything i can by the end of the day

Step Six

Task: Have my game evaluated                                                                                                    Date due:

Process: Ask several people to play it and tell me what they think about it.

evaluate the plan and justify any modifications to the design.

I think my planning could have been greatly improved if i had worked harder and more carefully on it. The plan was uncoordinated and unorganized. Without a proper planning it was harder to create the project. Another problem was that once i had created the plan i never looked at it or used it again. That is probably the biggest reason for the unorganization of the plan.

kodu

What do i know: how to make a good first person
The difficulty

Amount of enemies

the Plot

Variation of enemies

Variation of weapons

The reaction and intelligence of AI.

What do i want to teach: how to make that game successful

Who is the audience: M5 maybe D1

How will i teach it: I will show an example of when it is too much, not enough, and just good enough. Using kodu

I chose these topics because to me they are the simplest and most significant aspects in a game.

Technology reflection

Design:What we learned about designing posters during class was about contrast, rule of thirds, repetition, alignment and proximity. We also learned about how to make a successful blog by using the background and choosing suitable colors for it. We learned that some things such as contrast, repition and such did not work for all  posters. We learned that each color represents or makes people feel a different emotion, like red makes you hungry etc.

What we learned

Attitude: I think i was very positive towards what we were being taught. There were a few things i did not know about, such as the rule of thirds,  and the color representation. Now when i look at some posters I sometimes think about it using what we have learned, rather than just looking at it and saying "oh it looks good without putting much thought into it.

Attitude towards what we learned, how do i look at things now.

What I used, what i could have used, how i used it.
Create: I used the color representation to emphsize my point, an example is I used blue for caring because it represented honesty, while orange for risk-taker represented confident and adventurous. I used a bit of contrast by making the color of the backround for the text light than the rest. I used a tiny bit of rule of thirds by making the learner profile in the center showing that just that word is nothing while i put the description words around it, although it does not fully use the rules of thirds, it does a bit.

What i could have used is the rule of thirds a bit more accurately. I could have used the rule of proximity to make them spaced out evenly to make it look better.

Rules

Rule of thirds: Power is shown from left to right, top to bottom. Using a 9square grid

Rule of hierachies: objects and people above or in front have greater power

Rule of contrast: Use of darkness and brightness to emphasize objects create mystery, suspense, sense of uncertainty.

Rule of repetition: for emphasizing, reinforcement.

Rule of alignment: Things are aligned with one another

Rule of Proximity: Objects are equally distant from one another

cool photoshop

With a picture open, duplicate the layer (as always). Use your lasso tool to roughly select the subject of your image.

Feather the selection by going to Select > Feather (ctrl+alt+d). We want a pretty large feather, so what you input depends on your picture. Try 50 pixels. Go to Layer > New > Layer via copy. You should end up with just your subject on a new layer with a nice feather to it (fades at the edges).
Select the layer copy below your subject layer. Start trying out filters. I used Filter > Brush Strokes > Dark Strokes for this example. Most of the Brush Stroke filters work well with this effect. Using blurs tends to look a little funny. When you’ve got it all done, your layers

palette should look a little like this:

rule of 3rd

In movies the character with more power is on the left or the top, while the one with less power is on the right or bottom. If the character is very weak he will be in the middle of the screen. movies use this a lot

Repetition

Repetition: When an object or sentence is used more than once.

I tried repetition but did not work so well because it got in the way of the picture making my point very hard to understand.

Contrast

Contrast: When an object or scene stand out more than others by the use of different colors

I used contrast by making the writing red to make it stand out more. So people notice it faster and it is easier to read.
